I’m going to install XT90S Anti Spark Connector BUT……
I’m not sure what side the XT90S Anti Spark connector part should be and if it really matters and Why?
Should it be installed on the battery side or the controller side and why?

Do’s it really matter what side?

UPDATE…

There is a resistance of 005 on the multi-meter when checking the XT90S. When you put the male in to the female XT90S the resistance is gone.

I Think having the XT90S connector NOT at the battery side will be far better because the resister in the XT90S could fail after period of time because it’s always charged depending of the quality of the resister.

I’m NOT installing it on the battery side unless there is reason NOT to.

A different logic... think on this...

Which side wears out?

The side with four prongs that act like a spring?

Or the side with a copper tube that will never fail?

That's your answer.

Having lot's of previous experience with XT-60 connectors the side with the prongs are where all the damage occurs.

The XT-90 connector is much bigger and stronger.

And the XT-90s has the resistor built in so that as you slide the pronged side into the hole it very quickly stabilizes the two sides so that the spark is negated.

Once the prong hits the back of the XT-90s it is fully "mellowed out" and ready for a direct link.

This is my opinion.

Plus I'm not just pulling stuff out of my ass because I actually have done this already... as you can see.

The male side is from the controller the green side with the stripe is for the battery side when first plugged it in the XP 90s antispark plugs in halfway to the resistor turns on your controller or display. Then fully plugged in they're not for really for unplugging and plugging and unplugging it and plugging as you'll have a tendency to wear out that little resistor. Use flux and don't over heat as they will melt.

Never be putting anything but the female side of an XT90 or XT60 to the battery.

I was once shipped a battery with an XT60 male used as the battery's charge plug. First time I use that battery, the male XT60 hits a metal screw on the frame, and blows both prongs apart.

The way I described as the way my battery builder did it and just so happen it was the same way my cyc pro x1 gen3 came. Two different manufacturers that I know hadn't communicated with each other.
I don't really like them the xt90s as they are low amps. For higher amps I use a pigtail first of 4mm and a in line resistor then the main 5.5 mm gold plated bullets. But I see your male female debate.
One time I took my 12s A123 20ah pack to the hardware store and set it on the linoleum floor making sure the positive and the negative ends were 6 in apart Alex and hit the floor 6 inches part and made a big white plasma spark. Not they did not touch. So got lucky as that battery lasted 8 years 1480 charge cycles. Plasma balls floating in the air nothing is so fair as that plasma ball floating in the air.
