Hello

I have just bought iSkate Classic 600wboard for about $350 which is a pretty good price... and today after arrival it looks far from beeing new one as described. I charged the battery - finally started to turn on, but another problem appeared, not to mention scratches on the bottom. The engine, or engine controller is veeery loud after i press the control pad to move forward... even when wheels are not turning at all, and I'm pressing the controller very light, something on the board makes a high pitch noise, is that a normal behaviour or should I send back the product. It was bought from a private person.

Here's the video and the noise is a bit louder in real:

Can you take the motor from the mount and eliminate the gears as part of the noise? It sounds like metal on metal to me. It's brushed, which i'm not familiar with, so unsure how much of that is normal noise. Eliminating the rest of the power train (gears, belts, etc.) by removing the motor and then powering it to see if the noise persists?

Not a ton of help other than some troubleshooting.

GL!

Nope, sadly I can't dismount it, because I would lose the prvillige to send it back. Seller also replied me they sent a wrong box with a used model, but at the end - I have a chance to see how huge it is, and really... it is big, not so much like fun skateboarding, but more like a heavy electric gadget, so I'm now considering to order a http://www.evolveskateboards.com.au...ucts/bamboo-series-street-electric-skateboard, which is way ahead technologically :p

I have an emad 600w (same parts just different name) and a friend has one also and that sound is normal.

Now go ride it!

Sounds normal to me. But you may want to remove the belt, check belt tension and check to make sure there is no binding in the drive wheel.

Imo, $350 is quite expensive for a board with brushed motors and sla batteries. Could have built your own for that amount with twice the power and double the range.

Totaly normal sound for this kind of board. A bit annoying, but at least people get out of your way when you approach them from behind.
