does anybody know if i have changed my controller and display, but reused my old juliet 4 in 1 cable, my new controller wont switch on, my old display was a c300 c302-1802-b260 48v-v2.5, my new controller is a kt controller with kt-lcd3 display,
is it possible the 4 in 1 cable though looks identical is possibly a different pin out in the 8 pin plug?

hi, i have done some more probing with a multimeter, at the controller output end on the 8 pin julet connector and i have discovered that on pin 4 i get 52v, with the +ve test lead in pin 4 i get +ve 52v on the 4 pins to the right of it and -ve 52v on the 3 pins to the left, obviously if i reverse the test leads that will be inverse
i dont get any voltage between any of the other pins
so i connected the 4 in 1 cable to the 8 pin connector and probed the other end where the brakes throttle and 5 pin display lead plugs in expecting i was going to see 52v somewhere on the display cable end and nothing anywhere else but this was not the case
between the brake connectors im seeing 1.5v
between the throttle connectors im also seeing 1.5v
on the display connector looking at it with the notch at the bottom starting pin1 to the left of it and 5 to the right i see :-
pin 1+2 = 6.0v
pin 1+3 = 4.5v but fluctuating a bit
pin 1+4 = 4.0v fluctuating
pin 1+5 = 2.9v fluctuating
pin 2+3 = 0v
pin 2+4 = 0v
pin 2+5 = 2.8v fluctuating
pin 3+4 = 0v
pin 3+5 = 2.3v fluctuating
pin 4+5 = 1.2v fluctuating
this all seems strange when i only saw 52v going into the cable from the controller and all these random voltages are coming out the other end of it but without chopping the cable up i dont know whats going on inside, i dont know if this is normal or not or if the cables are different despite looking the same? any ideas?

It's quite possible that the old controller, if it wasn't a KT controller, used a different pin out on the harness.

Here's where 48V power and ground want to be on the 5 pin connector (female) to the LCD3 on my KT36ZWSR-LCD controller. All you need to start an LCD3 is Power and Ground, so they must be in the wrong place,

hi, thanks for the reply, my new julet cable came today and its working, but i suspect the cable may have been the problem in the first place, i have not tried my old controller yet as it is in bits and may possibly be damaged from my poking around in it shorting things see if i could find the throttle and make it go lol
i was getting random faults, 1 i remember being a throttle fault, but there was another one as well i would get randomly, like the throttle would stop working yet the pedal assist would still work but if the throttle was open the pedal assist would cut out, id turn the bike off at my mums house and when i left it would work again but then cut out a mile or so down the road again, then one day it just lit up every digit on the screen and went off then never came back on again.

the problem was my bike is a trike (as i have an amputated leg) and wont fit through doors or go in the shed so was left out in the rain, i think possibly the rain has penetrated where the 4 wires join the main single 8 or 9 pin what ever it was in a plastic junction box, i have a motorbike cover on it now and soon have another shed being put up for it, ive ordered an extra 4 in 1 cable and another motor cable as spares as well so hopefully i wont be without my trike again ;)
many thanks ;)
