June 21st the official Go Skateboard Day

Didn't know they had a day for skaters. Going to see if I will kill myself at the local city skatepool. Got the helmet, kneepads, and all important wrist guards . Hopefully the faceplant gods will be kind to me tomorrow lol.

Sweet! I'll go out and ride my board around tomorrow. Not sure if I'm going to brave the skatepark where all the little kids are busting the huge tricks.

Celebrated it with 18 kms on the destroyer 13kms on the velociraptor... 6 kms maiden voyage on the Gargoyle.. my calves are killing me...

So I tried my 1st pool session. It's no joke, and I have some semi experience with surf & skate. There is a definite fear of hard concrete you have to overcome when your doing turns

Being able to ride a pool is on my summer agenda 8)

I run a skate shop in Canada, part of the largest skate shop 'chain' in Canada, "West 49". On Saturday 'Go Skate Day" we held events at 90+ skate parks all across Canada, THOUSANDS of kids out for free food, free drinks, free skate swag and a day of epic skating. Very cool to see that people all around the world were joining the fun.
