Kick Scooter Project

This is my Dad's latest project. He plans to lace one of my old 48V 1000w hub motors into the rear 16" wheel of this kick scooter.
Do you think this is possible? Found an image online that suggests it might be?

Sweet project! These things are pretty cool. Seen an awesome video on youtube before on these electric kick scooters with 20" wheels.
