We run a handicap modification company in Delaware and I've had many classes with quantum power wheelchairs jazzy power chairs among some of the brands most of them are 24 volts with a single motor dual shaft or single motor one wheel drive some of the motors are physically possible to modify and use for a scooter or bike but the RPMs were always in a range under 1000 some of them are actually $175 to 200 RPMs full throttle. What I found out was with jazzy power chairs the motors actually have a gear reduction box on them that is incredibly difficult to remove but when you do 24 volt gets you 3500 RPMs with literally no amp draw, I started thinking about building a scooter collected a bunch of related material parts and items and using a children's razor 300 scooter modified the frame took the actual motor I had to remove the electric brake on it grind down the shaft which was threaded like an auger and tap it so that it accept a 12 tooth sprocket that was actually on the scooters drive wheel originally I found another sprocker the same size and based on an online speed calculators required information with two 12-2 sprockets and 9-in wheel 24 volts 3500 RPMs and my weight range it should be hitting 52 miles an hour and that is with 24 volts I also learned that these motors are capable of the 48 volts if necessary but that much battery would actually add more weight which I don't need. I'm trying to determine what online motors might be a better idea with a scooter powered hub type that in the right 36 to 48 volt range can get a scooter geared properly up to 35 40 miles an hour by a reputable company and not someone who is just looking to sell to the Americans make some money and never answer if there's a problem or issue any brand of motor or motor companies who have a great reputation would be really appreciated thank you
