Hi all

This is going to be a long project, I have a spare HPEV AC-20 and 30 x CAM 72Ah cells I really like the look of the Harley Ds  but the price is too rich for me

So a Kit is on the cards I'm still gun shy about doing another ICV (individual constructed vehicle) after the RMS caned me with the Sonic :x

Looking at running a belt drive as a Harley 70 notched rear cog bolts on via a 3:1 reduction gearbox should give a 100 Mph

Any hints and or advise or am I F&^kin mad

Cheers Kiwi

You're F&^kin mad
Go for it, this should be awesome.

I think OCC/American Chopper did a show on an electric bike for Siemens. I don't have a TV, so didn't see the show, but the bike looks good.

This Baldor Ratio multipliers are crap. They only have milled gears, not hardened from very mild steel, the shafts are poor quality and they are heavy. The rated torque is very low and trust me, they don't like being abused with more of it. I have destroyed a few of them!

Thanks for the heads up do you think I should just go direct drive?
