Im upgrading my ebike and have recently purchased at KT controller - 48v to 60v 45a sine wave. Im waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

My question is, do KT controllers use/require higo open or closed magura Mt5e brakes? Apologies if this question has been answered definateivly already.

i know how to work it out once the controller is here by unplugging the break sensor cable and seeing if the motor still runs or not. However I just wondered if there was a standard the KT controllers use. Also the brake connectors are the 2 pin red julet connectors.

If I remember correctly the two pin red connector that you plug the mechanical ebrake sensor. The sensor has a switch inside the brake that is pressed when the lever is released therefore making it a normally closed

Depends on what you ordered. KT controllers come with different connectors types depending on the model.
The KT will run with no brake cutoffs connected.
