KT48 KTE-SVP12 controller not working correctly after I shortened the leads.

Hi Forum,

I picked up this free ebike kit from market place the other week. Everything was working fine so I decided to shorten the leads and do a professional installation. Now the motor won't run properly, its stuttery, and feels like the phases are connected wrong. I have been through all the possible UVW combinations without changing the hall effect sensors wires (because they were never desoldered) and I am unable to correct the issue. Is there some configuration step I am missing?

thanks guys, this pic was my saving grace... (from Tech Specs Yescom CONTROLLER KT48ZWSLT-LCD) ...

I had attached the green wire for the V phase in to the V hole. When I actually removed it from the unlabeled hole pictured. The actual fault here was me not taking pictures before I removed any wires.
