KU123 controller error message

Got a friend who is using a KU123 controller on ebike build and just asked me what 8 blinking red lights mean on his KU123 controller. He said it happened mid ride, and made sure there was full charge and checked all the wires to ensure there wasn't a short. I've been doing searches on this, and I can't find a manual or any information to decifer the error code. Anyone got any info on this?

I sent them a message, but they aren't online right now. So I was just seeing if anyone had the info in the mean time. I will post up the answer if I get it from them.

I can't help with the error your friend has, only to say i have a controller that also flashes 8 times. It's not a KU123 from BMS battery, i got this one from evassemble. It was DOA.
I'd be interested to find out whats wrong with mine too, i haven't probed around yet (not had time), they replaced it FOC...it's possible they have the similar kind of faults and hopefully they are fixable? or mabe not....

Just woke up this morning realizing that I still have not heard back from them on this. Guess I will have to send them another message. Maybe I should send them a message saying I'm interested in buying something from them and see how fast they respond.
