What is going on with lipo's in the past year?
Are cell capacities going up while the <known overrated> discharge rates are going down?
Are the rates just more conservative, or are the batteries weaker and why?

Consider HK latest 6s and 4s 'best deals' I thought handy to build up to a:
18-24s 2p >16ah >100a ~500$ ~20lb pack

6s1p 8ah - 30c/40c burst for 60$ . flightmax
6s1p 10ah -10c/20c burst for 50$ . multistar

4s1p 08ah -30c/40c burst for 60$ . flightmax
4s1p 10ah -10c/20c burst for 30$ - multistar

*notice very similar weights and sizes between the brands.

So what's going on here?
Should multistar still be run @ ~25% constant discharge max? IF SO

6s =
-multistar 24s 2p 20ah 050a $400,
vs
-flighmax 24s 2p 16ah 120a $480,

4s =
-multistar 24s 2p 20ah 050a $360,
vs
-flighmax 24s 2p 16ah 120a $720,

So why is flightmax highly disproportional between 4s and 6s price?
Why is multistar 6s highly disproportionate in discharge for a modest price and capacity benefit?
Is the best deal Zippy 6s for 18-24s lightest pack under 500$ capable of +100a, OR

are turnigy's C rates just more conservative as they're breaking into larger 10-16ah cells? If 20ah 10c multistar can sustain 4-5c it would be a better deal. But maybe the larger cells' chemistry/structure necessitate more discharge restriction? For crying out loud why can't lipo be as simple as the drive systems, or even cans? :x
