Yes kim, there are plenty of apparently high capacity lipo packs available, 10 Ah, even 20Ahr, 6S..
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/361394222/20000mah_22_2V_20C_RC_Lipo.html
..but until a reliable supplier such a HK stock them, i dont think its worth the gamble !

I think the battery is the same as the one discussed here: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=23029

Hillhater,
I have only one 6S 20,000mAh battery and I am using it on my Cyclone 500W bike. I like the simple wiring and the simple balance charging but guess that it is only 2C, maybe 2.5C.
Thinking about getting another one so that I can use a pair (12s 20,000mAh) on my 2WD bike. The controllers draw 2 times 17A which is roughly the same or maybe a little less than the Cyclone demands.

Can you say me with what lipo charger i can use to charge this 6s 8000mah (and power supply need)? thanks!

I think this thread will help with the charger:

http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=50546

I think the power supply is a meanwell 12volt 500watt power supply.

I hope that helps ...

If others chime in - these guys really know they're shite!

I just wanted to respond because I thought you might be asking me directly.

This charger must be ok to charge 2x 6s with ps of 300w mini?

Guys I'm totally new to this field although OK with lipo on RC cars/trucks. I have a razor ecosmart scooter (For 16+ young adults). It is so darn heavy due to the fact that it has 3 SLA batteries for only 7AH. I just tried it for about 30 minutes and it feels "OK" but definitely not like my e-Bike with LiFEPO4 9AH. My first reason of getting that scooter was for the ultra laziness of personal transportation. I just like the idea of having good power while sitting and cruising. Always enjoyed that idea since I was going downhill in my very old steel Tonka truck where we use to live on a hill. That's almost 40 years ago so now since I'm older, would really like to get some more mileage on my Razor Ecosmart. I know the bad things about the SLA as I'm also into solar stuff as well. I just want to remove them and try these 2 x Zippy 8AH packs. If it gets me up to 15 miles I'm damn happy. My motor is a brushed (i think-as i doubt they'll give you good stuff such as BL from a company like Razor) 500W motor. Claims to run up to 18MPH and running time of 40minutes. If TWO of these Zippies can double that range, I'm more than happy to order it ASAP! My other idea was to put my Prodeco LiFEPO4 battery but I didn't want to fiddle with the different plug, etc. I do really want to try to feel the boost/punch of these LiPo on E-Scooter though. If it's not enought, I'll get 4 of them to make it 16AH as I think I got the space for it. Please shed some light to this newbie! Thanks guys! Enjoy the rest of this MLK weekend!

Welcome,
you idea to replace the SLAs with LiPo does make sense, however LiPo are potentially more dangerous and less forgiving. Please at least read some of the posts here about proper charging methods etc... : http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=26621

From what I see about your scooters setup, here are some things you may want to consider:

The SLA configuration is 7aH @ 36V, the two 6S 8aH Zippies would give you 16ah (great range improvement, as you've already noted) but only a nominal voltage of 22.2 Volts so the scooter will be slower. That is assuming it will run at the lower voltage.

You will need to buy some charging equipment for these LiPo batteries, they need to be balanced charged in order to keep all the cells at equal voltages
You will need to make your own connectors from the scooter to the bullet connections on the LiPos

Keep us posted with and more questions or updates, this seems like a cool project.
