Hey ES, mcf12sf here, usually hanging out in the motos section but since last build was a car, I was asked by someone I know to assess this very cool but complicated conversion of a '64 restomodded Rambler. So I did.

Assessment: Excessive 12v loads causing startup issues, possible Stealth unit failure, no wiring diagrams, way too complicated for this guy to own. Sell it.

I'm here asking if there's someone in ES or a freind-of-ES-member who's done 100V+ conversions who might have the time/interest to assess this fully, document it, simplify the 12v loads and get this usuable again As is, it's not safe for anyone without real EV conversion experience. Also, it's bricked. The HV gear here's unconventional but high quality, and the donor's interesting enough to make this a cool conversion if it was redone to be more bulletproof.
  • Batts/drivetrain: Tesla modules built for Merc 250 SUV + Lexus Hybrid drivetrain + stealth EV charger/dc-dc
  • Full listing with build details, videos from original owner: EV-Conversion 1964 Rambler Classic 660 Two-Door Sedan
  • Builder has moved to Europe and is hard to reach, but not completely awol afaik
DM if you're interested or know anyone who's willing to make an offer.

Thanks, Matt
