Learning about E-V's

I was wondering if any of you have any books or courses to suggest when it comes to learning about electric motors and batteries?

I know the forum and the users are a great source of information. But I am currently looking to get into a subsidised program and could get my hand on some nice manuals that cover electric motor systems and maintenance.
