So my plan was to mount the electronics at the center of the board and run the 3(x2) motor control leads through about 18 inches of 3w/12g wire (x2). I was wondering if there are any issues with longer lengths of wire (interference or resistance), esp. on the ESC OUT (to motor) end? Will it make motor control/acceleration less smooth for any reason? Is there any reason why I should reconsider the distance between the electrical components and keep wires short? I know the SBEC has a little shielder magnet.

I will post a build thread soon...thx

Real problems only arise when you have different motor wire lengths. Long and short wires affect the timing, but all wires the same only have a bit less efficiency as far as I know.

I have one motor about 4-5" and another about 10-12" for a dual diagonal. On start-up I notice a delay but after you get the motors going it's pretty much equal.

OK sounds good--thanks guys, I will go as planned.
