I got a custom built Lightfoot WorldTraveler w/ cyclone 500 watt motor, 24v 20a amp Lifpoe4 batt. And yes it has 192 gears. 3x8x8=192. This bike had a range of over 50 ml when the battery was new. I have had the bike over a year and put almost 2000 Mi on it. I did have a crash and also the weak straps that held the batt gave way and fell off causing some damage to the batt. As far as i can tell the batt never had a BMS on it. I can still get over 25 mi on this batt. The batt has two halves both about square. When i charge it, one half gets hot, the other stays cool. I also do radio control so I am somewhat savvy to elect. Not sure who made the batt but it is not a "duct Tape" batt and no mention of manufacture on it. I dont have alot of $ to spend on a batt, but also have a "hook up" to repair the batt with new cells. I should mention the guy that can repair my battery is a pro and not some a$$ with a solder iron. I do not have a car and this bike is my main mode of transportation. Sould I get the batt that i know has no BMS repaired with miss matched cells: or should I find a diff batt? About all I can afford to get is a "duct tape" batt from ebay (if I am lucky(keep this in mind)). I think i should repair the batt and get what i can out of it and buy a new batt later cause its all i maybe able to afford. What do you think?
