LiitoKala Lii-500 charger restarting at 1a charge

Just got a liitoKala Lii-500 charger and when charging 4 cells at 1a it restarts after a few seconds, at 0.7a it works fine. Is the charger faulty or the included 12v 2a adapter simply not giving it enough juice?

I had the exact same problem about a year ago. It would be fine if I was charging < 4 cells at 1A but at 4 cells, it would reboot. It was especially frustrating because I was using it for capacity testing, so once all 4 cells were fully discharged, they would begin to charge and I would loose the capacity results that were on the screen due to the reboot.

To fix it I just got a beefier 12V supply. It's too bad the issue is still happening to people. Banggood did give me a partial refund.

I just received a second one from ebay, this one works fine at 1a. I noticed the charger on the one that can only handle 0.7a is a bit lighter in weight and has a blue led, the one that can do 1a doesn't have an led. Somethings iffy here, and the bad one is from banggood. Also the qr sticker on the side on the bad charger leads to LiitoKala's .cn website while on the good charger leads to a .com website.

I think it's too hot when charging 4 cells/time
did you try to teardown the liitokala and add a small fan

OR check your 12v 2A adapter !!!

I charged 4 cells at a time.1000mA, no problem happen
