Hello everyone,

Having a magic pie 5 motor, I was wondering if there was a way to limit the motor to a max of 500W only. Would this be possible by using the cycle analyst, any other lcd display or, the golden motor software (used for programming the controller)?

Much appreciated,
Syed.

The pie 5 does not come with a display including a number of power selections? Amazing if so.

Yea, I was wondering on the specifics. If someone has done it before and can explain or, redirecting me to an existing post would be much appreciated.

I have a magic pie 5 with a USB cable but I can't use it as I have mac computers. I have installed a shunt with a cycle analyst 2. I followed the instructions on the ebikes.ca site to install. Then you can limit lots of things in the ca.

If you use pc order the USB cable and there will be instructions to set the software limiting.

This PIC will give you an idea what you can control via the GM software.
The newest version controler has BlueTooth and a Phone App that mimics the functions normally found on a Display.
I run Linux so I find the Windows software to be a PIA as well.
FYI: They use the same controller/software on all their PIE motors.

Thanks for the input, I will probably be using the cycle analyst and shunt regardless as, the pedelec sensor is not really compatible.
