Linux Phaserunner Suite not downloading motor profiles

The Linux Phaserunner 2.0 Suite program seems fine, but motor profiles do NOT load, and instead produce an "error code 6" soon after installing and opening the program. I have tried 4 different Linux distributions MX, Manjaro, EndeavourOS, and Debian, all current versions. I was successful loading on an earlier version of Manjaro (21.1?), but upgrading to 23 nixed it so it no longer DL's the motor profiles.

I contacted Grin and here's the response I received:...

"We have received reports of issues with Linux from some customers. I'm waiting for our IT team to help us with some troubleshooting."

Yes, I'm aware an Windows version is available, but I currently do not have it installed... nor do I prefer to use it.

If you are successful DLing the profiles using Linux, please share what Distro you are using. Thank You

**** edit; I should point-out that the distro's I tried, were all KDE Plasma - so maybe that's the problem. ***

You're a virtualbox install and windows 10 copy away from using it if you don't find help here.
I run linux fulltime but i always have a windows VM on the side for things like this; and you can route USB ports into it via linux.

If you chose to go that route, i can help you with every step.

... or a VM of an earlier version of Linux.

I'm still working out my new life after retiring and moving, but rebuilding my Linux computers is in the works, as is an experiment putting the Grin binaries into a Docker machine. A really way-out option I probably won't get to (life is short) is the Grin Window$ binary in a WINE install.

Appreciate the offer Chief, but I'd much prefer to ignore anything Windows. 10 wasn't overly painful, but 11 convinced me I was permanently done - If you've ever setup a fresh Win11 "S" version, you'll understand exactly what i'm referring to.

Grin Window$ binary in a WINE install.

VM of an earlier version of Linux.

+1

Though not Phaserunner suite, using Wine, I have been able to successfully run Windows executable on Linux for Votol controllers.

Or like mentioned above, installing Virtual machine & installing known working Linux version in VM. And as @neptronix mentioned, you can configure the specific USB port as passthrough.
