I'm just about to pick up a grass trimmer & hedge cutter that uses this battery. It's 20V 6Ah, but I don't know what kind of discharge it can handle. It sells for $129.99.

Wonder if it would be worth picking up a few more to experiment with. :D

My WAG is that it has ten emoli cells inside: 2s5p.

I'd buy one and open it up (carefully). 8)

Seconded. If that's the case, then...

For the cells themselves, it'd be slightly more expensive than Milwaukee V28 packs. However, depending on the BMS, it might be very interesting.

I'm sick of the damn fragile Milwaukee BMSs.

lazarus--what fragility are you seeing in the milwaukee bms? are you referring to when using them 3 or more in series?

Oh, I'm having them cut out and refuse to charge/balance the cells. No idea why. Of course, I am not using them inside the bulky stock plastic cases.

Looks alot like the Sears Craftsman 20 volt Lithium. Sears.com item number item #00925708000 $89.99 US

I have been thinking about getting a extra one and checking out how what kind of cells are in it. Sears is offering a two year warranty on this battery in the US. What I think is cool is that these packs can recharge in about 50 minutes. The Chargers are $39.99 US.

Unfortunately these Canadian Tire packs take 4.5 hours to charge.

I have now idea how to open the pack up, but I could send one to someone if they wanted to open and test it.

Ewww... That doesn't sound like Emoli cells at all!

Any idea how many amps they can produce? I mean, it has to be enough for power tools...

Ja, but I figger that stat is erroneous. I still think it b emoli.

Has anyone opened up one of these to confirm the manufacturer of the cells? The size of the pack and 6Ah capacity does not seem to add up to an emoli battery.
