Well, something inbetween. A bit snappy is very wanted, but shooting away like a bullet is not the intention..

I've been playing and comparing with the leafmotor by the way, and the difference isnt that huge. When the incline gets higher, the Grin really shines, but with reasonable inclines, the Leapmotor is even faster and almost just as efficient... i was a bit surprised.

For your purposes, I’d get a cheap generic slow wind Chinese direct drive hub motor, add Statorade and hub sinks and either pair it with a decent programmable controller or a cheap controller plus cycle analyst. It would be a big waste of money to buy the leaf or all axle and waste their potential.

yes, thats what i'm trying to figure out.
Yesterday attached the 48V battery to the stock controller and testride. Today a big testride of 30km plus.
results: speed is okay, might add a few km in speed. More torque is wanted definately. But this is a small diameter 250W hubmotor on a stock chinese controller.
Thats why i first want to try the grin controller and see what it does.
Then finally decide what motor is needed/wanted, and it doesnt need to be a 45 max i think. We'll see. (the motor is outrageous expensive to my opinion, as i found out today all prices at grin are tax excluded..)
