Hi Guys
I'm new to this forum so I hope I'm in the right area.
I'm currently in the middle of a BBSHD build on my 2010 Scott Nitruos 10 and I would really like to brighten the trails with a large diameter bush light, like on a Jeep or rally car. I have found one example, "Bush and Muller Big Bang" from Germany. This is going for around $700. Does any one know where to get something similar but with a price tag an average ebiker can afford?

Here's a link to my bike build. Just waiting for my battery to arrive. http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t469/Ken_Bidinost/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpg

Seems to me there should be headlights, good LED ones, much cheaper than that. Anything made to mount to the roll bar should work. Might not be round, if that matters to you.

Look at 4x4 stuff, not racing shit.

I'm not recommending this one or anything, I just clicked on the first ad that came up on google search. Under $100, 5000 lumens.

round, and even cheaper. But only 1100 lumen. http://www.carid.com/lumen/4-5-round-18w-led-off-road-driving-light-mpn-or908c.html

Right on.
I like that square one for $89.
I found one last night and pulled the trigger. It's 3" diameter and it has what I'm looking for. I have to see if it's worth the $48 Canadian

If you get a fairly large 24V-60V input/12V output DC/DC converter (ebay, search "golf cart"), you can run automobile or motorcycle lights off of the ebike battery pack. Lots of options there.

Now that sounds interesting. There is a plug that comes from the BBSHD motor that I figured was for a light. Can I control the functions from the buttons for the DPC14 display?

No. No light ctrl from TFT-LCD or from BBSHD.

I bought 1200 lumen led light for $30.

It comes with a batt pack with 2 Li-Ion inside.
On full effect it drains the battery quite fast.

So I connect the cables to, over two cells in the bike's battery pack instead. 8V is enough to blend all the meeting bikers on the road =)

Last longer and don't have to charge 2 things. Only the bike.
