Hey guys. I am currently working on building an L7E delivery van on our modular ev platform. Currently we did build a prototype using a 72V arch, but charging is taking a long time, hence deciding to switch to higher voltages so that it will be compatible with DC fast charger. Local l7e rules have caped the power to 15KW, speed to 70kmph. So i have been looking for power train options preferably off the shelf and high torque (100nm+).
I have contacted some manufactures but very few have 100nm or above outputs for anything below 30KW.
I have also looked at using a re configurable battery (similar to hummer ev, cybertruck packs) pack option (series- parallel) with 96or lower voltage but it felt too complex to implement ( 3+ battery module need to be switched and might need custom bms) but i might try to look if i can crack it (currently one of my friend and his engineer team is looking into a control strategy ).do you suggest i try to work on this approach.
