Hey guys,

I have a brand new Magic pie 5 that has a damaged cable and possibly a broken controller. I'm not very knowledgeable about this motor but I would really like to fix it. Rather oddly I have found some default emergency mode by wiring the throttle directly to the leads from the motor circumventing the multicore cable usually used to connect it. The motor now runs at half power by pressing the red button on the thumb throttle. This is super handy to have and brought life back into this motor. Can anyone offer a solution? Get a new mp5 controller ($175) or wire an external one? Maybe its not even broken and its just the cable, I really don't know but it is brand new and so quiet and powerful, I would really like to get it running again and I cant in good conscious waste this beautiful 48v 30ah pack
