I'm thinking of buying some 1.3ah Makita packs are these the ones that sealed in tool packs and need to be broken apart ? So they are the 15c cells ?

Having a hard time the 1.3 vt-cells are available. But wanted the 1.5 v-cells but have to wait. The vt would be heavier but 15c. I think I just need a 5c battery ? Trying to get this right. Pro's and con. Please help.

I believe that Doc Bass sells the 1.5 ah cells from the 18 volt Makitas. Those are the V cells. The VT are the higher C rate but lower capacity ones found in the Bosch Fatpacks. If you can find a source for those I would also be interested now that Fatpacks have priced themselves out of the market for me.

Docnjoj, Sounds like the v packs are easier to work with being in 2p, but the vt packs are 15c but with more connections and more cells for a pack ? Tell me more please. Corrected

Nop!... you did a mistake in your explanation:

Here is your statement but that i corrected:

More cell for the same Ah total.. yes... The VT are 1.3Ah and the V are 1.5Ah

Hi,

The VT ALSO EXIST in the MAKITA packs BL18XX serie.

They exist in 3 brand of powertool packs: Makita, Bosh and Porter cable.

Makita BL1815 have thge VT cells ( 5s1p) and Makita BL1830 have the V cells (5s2p)

Porter cable have the 1.5Ah packs with the VT ( 5s1p) just like the Makita BL1815

Bosh have the 37V packs ( fatpacks) of 10s2p but they are really expensive and i can't get big qty of them.. only 1-2 per month max

Makita and Porter cable indicate 1.5Ah on their Vt packs but in reality it's 1.3Ah ( generally i measure 1.34Ah o the Vt cells)
