turnigy 80-100 motor, lyen controller,74v 30a,worm drive reduction ,shaft drive and igh........sealed drivetrain only weak point is the hub.................has anybody at all tried this ?

how could it be any worse than multiple reductions that you have to use with planetary and chain ? only one reduction with worm also the igh and shaft is less loss than chain and cassete

chain drive 95 to 98 % efficiency primary,secondary and bb to wheel 15 to 6% loss.............worm reduction 3 to 4% ,shaft drive 2 bevels 2% each,planetary in hub 3% total11%

i already have, i posted this to find out if anybody else has tried it ...........the figures i used came from your post.....the losses in a sealed drive are constant, chaindrive are not they increase with every mile you ride

did you do your maths??? 130kv x 74v=9620rpm divided by 16=601.25 rpm at bb at full throttle and no i dont intend to pedal............even lance cant pedal that fast
