Mini-Motorcycle frame choice

I want to build fast ebike that is capable of sustaining 55mph and surviving well in traffic on my commute. I purchased a QS205 3.5T in a 17" moto wheel for the power and I plan to run it with Statorade and hubsinks on a Sabvoton controller with 72 or 96V of lithium batteries. I basically want a Zero without paying 10K+, or neededing to go 80+MPH.

After I pick the frame, suspension will come next. For an on-road bike, does fancy suspension mean as much? What would you suggest for front triple clamp forks and rear shock?

Yes, I plan to register and insure it as a motorcycle, even though it'll have the capabilities of pedaling, the law here in Virginia says anything that goes faster than 30mph is a motorcycle.

Any suggestions?

and it is awesome. I run it with the crappy rear shock sold on that website, and Boxer World Cup triple clamp forks, an Adapto controller, 16S Lipo 40ah and am really happy with it.

You definatly want good triple clamp forks for suspension purposes when travelling at speed and with that weight in my opinion.

Appreciate the feedback thank you! I'm still waffling on what to buy. I like the carbon frame's looks and ergonomics, but I worry about it's long term durability. For the difference in price between the steel and carbon frame, I could buy an Adaptto, so that's pretty compelling.
