i am trying to install these, came with no install instructions, has anyone used them? The bottom picture shows the correct size of the lever end unit,it is a little thicker than the cable housing, not triple sized as the top picture shows- there are no slots in the pieces that would attach to the original brake cable , so no way to attach it to inner cable. The second picture with the red light shows the correct size, there is --I-- shaped piece that detaches as the top picture shows, no slot on this either. vapor ware ??

Product Description
Mechanical Brake Sensor for Magic Pie Vector or Smart Pie Vector (2 Pieces)

Mechanical Brake Sensor for Magic Pie 4 Vector or Smart Pie 4 Vector

Easy hook up, plugs right into the MP4/SP4 wire harness.

You can now keep your existing mechanical brakes on your bike and

use this brake sensor for cutting the motor and regenerative braking.

Handy for people that have their gear shifters and brake levers integrated into one item.

Comes in a set of two peices. One for each Side.

I can guess from the pics how the golden motor assembly would attach on a regular brake lever. If there is no slot, isn't there a hole where you have to take apart the original cable and push the metal thru the end of the sensor?

Your description of what you have sounds like you got a different part shipped in error. Maybe you should post a pic of it.

Don't you just feed the cable through the switch and into the regular cable housing and then hook up like a standard cable? I can't imagine you cut the end off and crimp it. The advantage of this one is it comes with the correct connector pre-installed. :?:

Some brake cables come with both ends having lead ends on them.

Guessing that you would disconnect the brake cable at the brake end. Slide the cable housing off of the brake cable. Pass the brake cable through the 2 sensor components as in 1st illustration. Slide the brake cable housing back on to the brake cable. Reconnect brake cable to brake actuator. Or do you have barrel / ball ends , on both ends of your brake cable ?

thanks , i am just getting back to working on this today and nio web at bike location,, it seems the only way to install would be to pull the cable out of the housing and thread the brake pad end through the device and reconnect, i was hoping there was some other option i overlooked. i dont know if i have a big enough swage to replace the barrel at the brake lever end , and since i have drum brakes on this tadpole, i am not sure what i have on the brake end.
Just seems there should have been a slot to slide the cable in, i will put this on the back burner and look to jerry rig something else, maybe i could cut a slot , back out to my quest for washers to try and get the freewheel away from the frame and get this bie running. .
thanks for the help.

still back at square 1, tried powering up my smart pie 4 for first time, nada, got lights on the battery charge indicator/throttle, but nothing else, no wheel movement, time to reread the info, led light on minishine didnt come on, so couldnt see how they work.
