Bought a Jasion Thunder Pro on Prime day for my boy. I changed the tires during assembly to the folding version of the allscape tread. (So I DID disconnect and reconnect the motor cable)
Took it for a moderate first ride since my next door neighbor is a deputy and montana is 20mph max. Everything seemed to be fine until I went to try to figure out cruise control.....which is more complicated on this bike than needed......anyhow when I tipped it on its kickstand and hit the throttle....the motor HOWLED!!!! Extreme noise usually attributed to the clutch/gears. It also sounds like the motor stopped spinning immediately as the howling abruptly stops (but it freewheeled forever making me think the shaft bearings must be ok...
There is NONE of this noise when driving the bike around normally......but There is a sudden cut of power when releasing the throttle. There is no slow down...just drop off.
Question I have is.....Can a bad clutch restrict just motor power... and howl only when the motor is engaged...or is this a winding/motor problem? It is very responsive to the throttle.

It is under warranty, so I sent an email with a video to Jasion Support.
