motor locking / going in reverse for 0.1s after accelerating

hi,

i have an issue with the rear hub motor of my scooter.
- when staring from a stop, it makes a loud "clank" and doesn't move, or sometimes goes backward for like 0.1s, then starts moving in the right direction.
- the problem doesn't seem to appear if i spin the motor by hand before accelerating.
- this symptom appeared today in a middle of a ride.
- i know the controller is fine since i tested it with another one and the same happens...

any idea ?

Sounds like dead Hall sensors or damaged Hall sensor wires.

It was. Opened the motor and two of the sensors wires were desoldered.
