Motor Mount for 9" Gullwing Charger trucks

Hey Guys and Girls,

My first post is a basic one. Does anyone know of a motor mount that works with 9" Gullwing Charger trucks? Looking to convert an existing board into an electric version, not sure if I NEED to change trucks or fab my own motor mount; I would prefer something off the shelf. I have a Sector 9 Board:

Also willing to buy new trucks if that would make this conversion easier.

There is no off the shelf motor mount that I know of.
I had similar, if not the exact same trucks on my first eboard, which was a conversion. It was tricky as I had to mill away at the actual trucks to make things work. If I were you, I would go ahead and buy some caliber II trucks if you plan on using an adjustable motor mount, like the ones that torqueboards sells on his site. Or you can find trucks with round hangars to weld your motor mount onto.

He modified his epoxy a bit for heat dispersion, but JB Weld from your local hardware store will work just fine. Be sure to rough up both surfaces a bit.

@mfkubak thanks a bunch for a link to your build, I will be using that as reference going forward; it looks great. Yeah it sounds like it would be easier to get a new set of trucks. Do you know if the Caliber II trucks work as a drop through with my board? I'm a longboard noob; more experienced with regular non drop through sets on standard twin tip boards.

@MagiicHat thanks for that link, seems like an option but probably more modification than I would want to do to my trucks. Willing to drop a few extra bucks and pickup a compatible pair with adjustable mount.
