Hello can someone help me i have an ebike (48v 400w )
It was working good but the controller had a problem so i changed it and now my ebike working good off the ground but when i try to drive it it moves but when it gets some speed about 5 km/h the motor just makes sound and not moving and the motor and the controller gets hot can someone help

That behavior can be a symptom of incorrect hall sensors/ phase wire combinations. Unfortunately, the color-coded wires are not standardized across all manufacturers. Does the new controller have learning wires or auto-configuration?

If not, you will need to go thru the manual configuration testing routine until you arrive at the correct combination:

While the above table looks complicated, it means you start with all the colors matching on the 3 phase wires and 3 thin sensor wires. It it doesn't spin right, at most, you only have to change wires three times. before you arrive at a working condition,

I've never had to use it, being lucky that the wires were always correct on the motor and controller on my ebikes.

HI I have a problem with my motor or it could be the controller when I connect the controller and turn the pedals my motor turns for a short time and makes a horrible whining noise and sometimes it clunks, I have swapped the phase wires to blue-green and yellow but it is not any better I've read that it may be the Hall sensor wires maybe they may not be in the normal correct sequence so my question is should I swap the three wires around and is it safe. I have enclosed a photo of my controller I have tried to get working for at least 2 months but can not figure it out.

New controller? What's the change from when it worked correctly?

I've never been able to get it working since I bought it like I said when it's connected PAS blinks it turns one time but makes a horrible noise ,have changed the big three phase wire combinations still not working,I've read maybe the HALS connector wires are not in the correct combination iron some controller they may be same colour but do not work .

Finally got it working and this is how on the 6 pin hals connector I swapped the yellow and the blue on the controller side the 3 phase wires I did blue to blue and green to yellow and yellow to green .
Thing is though the phase wires seem to get a little warm any ideas please why this is .
