mstreans fw on tsdz8 860c - error 30h

Hi,
I followed Ebikestuff guide to install the mstreans open-source firmware on the TSDZ8; I have a stock 860C display.
After uploading the firmware, I'm getting error 30h.
It’s not clear to me whether I need to flash the 860C as well, and if it’s possible to back up the 860C. Can you help me?

Did you try the OSF thread? The display is discussed extensively there.
