MXUS XF40C maintenance : corrosion and change freehub body

After 18 monthes and 10 000 km i wanted to check my MXUS xf40c motor. See some pictures attached.

Freehub body change
- what is the tool to use . this one ?

Corrosion
On a french forum i was adviced to

- add statorade into it.
I'll do it next time I dismantle it.

Not enough corrosion to worry about to me. Good to go for another 10,000 km IMO.

If you live in a really really wet place, then two tiny vent holes in a cover, like 1/8 inch, would prevent any accumulation of water inside. The hot humid air would vent out the upper hole when you stop, sucking dryer air in the hole that happens to be lower. Or larger holes, with rubber plugs can be used. Open them on a dry day, then run the motor till its warm.

Only if water vapor gets in past seals, or down the wires does it get in and stay there, rusting the motor to death. This takes a very wet environment to actually accumulate the moisture.

Nothing wrong with paint it, I'm just saying as rusty motors go, that is not shit. Barely any rust compared to some pics I have seen, where the motor filled with water and sat for years. Take steps if you live on the beach, and get salt water in there of course.

To take off the freewheel on an electric motor you need a special freewheel tool for electric motor it's longer than the standard one and it goes deeper. you could probably find it the same place you find your stator aid. It has a row of teeth all around the outside bottom. The hole in the middle is bigger for the axle.
Em3ev should have both plus maybe get a 7,8,9 or 10sp freewheel that has 11t

I'm not sure to understand what you are saying. My version is a cassette one. I dismantle the cassette easly with as you said a tool with bigger hole in the middle.
I now would like to dismount/change the freewheel body as my pedals keep turning with the back wheel turning.

Oh freehub not freewheel. For cassette. Usually there's no maintenance or reason the open up your motor unless you do want to spray it or if your bearings go bad or Hall sensors because it's so easy to make a tear in the wire cover ect.

My problem is that the freehub is facing some issues. Pedals keep turning with back wheel. I therefore would like to dismount/change it. but I don't know what too to use and model to replace.

it's possible they used something common, like a shimano mechanism. but it's just as likely that they made something themselves, or that it's something common over there but not worldwide.

you can check with your local bike shop to see what tools they carry for freehub disassembly / removal, and see if any of them will fit the one you have. the most likely is shimano, because it's the most common, and so the most likely to be copied if it's not actually a shimano but a clone or whatever.

Picture from inside and outside. Looks like to freehib is scrwed on the side panel..

The 2 pins are 29mm exterior.

I've looked ton of freehub picture and i can't find one similar.

I finally contated MXus in china. They told me it is not possible to change the freehub without special tools. I ordered a flange + freehub from them. However after 6 months the problme is coming back. After puting some teflon oil from outside it is better but problem will come back.

I therefore just asked if they can supply a flange for freewhell so that I'll put this one http://www.sunrace.com/en/products/detail/mfez1
