My first ebike conversion completed

250kms down on the over volted 408. So far so good. Nothing getting too hot and I pushing quite hard at times. Doing a lot of sustained 50 kph stretches with 2.5 kW sustained up quite a few of the hills. Trying to avoid the really high kW bursts as this setup still has serious pull from 50kph to 65kph which will pull 5 or 6kW if I let it.

Tried my best to drown the bike yesterday. Got caught in a big storm and was completely drenched. Took shelter under a bridge and disconnected power just in case. Once the rain settled down, I rode the last 5 km with the power disconnected as I was sure some water would have got into the controller. When I got home, I opened up the controller thinking there would be a few drops of water in it but to my horror, about 1/4 of a cup poured out on the bench  Anyway, dried it all out with a heat gun and left it open over night. Couldn't see any damage on the board so I put it all back together and gave it a test. All started up fine. Thank goodness for that. Unfortunately my laptop which was in my backpack didn't fare are well. Looks like the water got to the screen and took out the back light. Looks like a new display is required :x Oh well as long as the bike is OK

Congrats, John on a very tidy build. You've got some great ideas on getting the batteries to fit nicely.
