What is the noise level from VRM compared to 241/244 when running 40 mph and above?
Do they have them in 17' size? One thing I noticed is it is hard to find 17 and 19 size combo. Only Shinko has it.
But I'd probably would go with 16' in the rear anyway if I had to go with new wheels.

As you noticed, I am running the VRMs currently, they run about 1 pound less than the SR241 in the same size. the tread of the VRM is slightly harder, like the 244, so they work as good as the 241 on hard packed everything, but not as good as the 241 in the loose stuff. The reason I haven't went back to the 241 is I got a deal on the VRM and have 6 of them stocked. So I will wear them out before going back to the 241.

They are quieter than both the 241 and 244, in fact, they are quieter than the 24x3.00 Duro Razorback I have on the front of my Fighter.

Be careful with those Chinese carbon fiber handlebars! I've seen a ton of those crack and you don't want to have that happen at 50mph. Not really much help in weight reduction on a bike that heavy anyway.

Hmm, I tested one of them off the bike trying to break it. It definitely gives in more than aluminum but bounces back. I can break it if I really try hard but it looks like its strength it is more than sufficient for the purpose. The handlebar does not really get a lot of load or stress regardless of the speed.

A hard enough crash, and they will break, but I haven't had any issues with mine on the Fighter or Bomber.
