I am having trouble with finding a caliper to fit the gap between my spokes and front brake disc.I have about 15mm gap which I have already widened with spacers.I could go a little more but If I widen too far the rotor bolts hit the forks. I have used smaller mechanical brakes before on other bikes but the pads tend to be small and wear quickly needing constant adjustment.
Can anyone recommend a good narrow caliper? I am set up for cable at the moment but I could change to hydraulic.
Thanks for any help

I solved mine with a larger disk and a caliper adaptor. There was a thread about 5 or 6 months ago about the width of calipers, and which were the best, so do a search and you should find it; however, disks are not to dear and easier to fit, so that might be the best way to go.

It is a special disc for my heinzmann motor. There are no bigger ones. I have done searches but can't find the caliper thread

There is already a much bigger rotor on your wheel, probably 559mm or 622mm, with an immense variety of calipers available for it. Why not use it?

I'm saying your rim is a bigger rotor, there are lots of good brakes for it, and it does not present the kinds of interference problems you are attempting to deal with. A good rim brake beats an okay disc brake any day, and most discs are just okay.

Magura Gustav brakes-
They have very narrow caliper on the inner side of the brake rotor. Like 10mm. Check Google Images.

The bad news is they aren't made anymore, so if it looks like it'll fil what you need, you have to lurk on ebay and pinkbike.com.

That's a shame-- the Magura Gustav M was one of the very few discs that could dissipate about as much energy as a rim brake before it failed. Most aren't even close.
