So I'm doing some custom work for a build. I will be placing a cog/sprocket onto a ISIS splined shaft. Since there is no such freewheel or cog in existance since crank arms are normally attched to the end of isis spindles I have been designing my own to these specs http://www.isisdrive.com/isisdrive/ISIS_Drive_Standard_Document_revD.pdf

I have completed the female portion to spec. What I want to do next is design the male 9 spline shimano around the outside of this so that I can mount any cog/chainring or freewheel to the outside.

I need help with the shimano standard. Reading Sheldon Brown I come to the understanding that the Uniglide standard of 9 symmetrical/uniform splines is now outdated and replaced. Although I still find many single fixed cogs for sale online that are built to this standard, presumably because it fits the newer hyperglide all the same. For my application I will be using a single cog so the interface is really not that critical, I guess I could design it uniglide or hyperglide but I don't know the actual measurements...

Anyone know the measurements for me to be able to model it?

Thanks.

This post has a drawing for a sprocket that fits a Shimano freehub. You need to make the male splines slightly smaller for a sliding fit.

Peter Verdone posted the drawing on his blog in Feb/2014.

I used it for a test pulley I laser cut from 3/8" thick plywood. It fit well. I used a 0.004" offset for the laser kerf.
