Hello ,

i want to make a battery pack of 60v 16AH and discharge current nominal of 55A and max 130A .
i was wandering what are the my options , as i read in this forum 18650 will give one of the highest power density and cycles .
as i will need hi current discharge i have seen the unprotected type from sony , panasonic and LG ..

i have found this :

what do you think will be the most money worth battery to build the pack with ? and do you have better option then the one i have seen ?

Thank you
Amit

I know very little about 18650 but what I do know about are Lipo's

The most basic version a Turnigy 6s 5000mAh 20c Lipo will discharge at 100a constant with bursts at 150a

You can combine these in series/parallel to meet your capacity/power needs

(If you have written this off due to other reasons I apologize for my response)

I just know that these batteries are monsters and when you treat them right, they offer excellent performance

Thanks

God Bless

From the links you provided, go with the Sony US18650VTC4. 16S8P will be 59.2V nominal and 16.8Ah. At a continuous discharge of 130A (which is the max that you want), you should still get very close to 16Ah out of the pack, judging from the graphs of the cell's spec sheet. 55A continuous in an 8P configuration will be a piece of cake for these cells.
