Hello, this is my first timie posting here but I've been lurking for a while now.

Posting because I started snapping up hoverboards - mostly Hover1 Helix models - from a retail returns auction because there was a glut of them and I was interested in the battery packs. Most show zero sign of having been ridden, some have minor wear. Each will be tested prior to shipping.

Asking $12 for the ones that show minor wear and $15 for the never ridden. $10 each if buying four or more.

Here's a link to the ebay ad: 200W Hover1 Helix Wheel Motors NEVER USED, TESTED Genuine OEM 36V 6-1/2" | eBay

What other parts do you have from the units? I'm also in the Phoenix area, and sometimes find uses for odds and ends.

i kept a couple of the aluminum subframes for the mounting surfaces in case I want to mobilize a couch or something. I've got a buuunch of other stuff too.
  • linear actuators
  • electric motors of many types, especially 12V right angle worm gear motors.
  • I have a bunch of microwave parts too - turntable motors, switch bodys, fans, control pads, capacitors, magnegtrons and some transformers too although I'm kind of partial to those.
  • drawer slides from light duty 12" up through several hundred lb capadity w/ 60" stroke
  • linear guide rails for cnc machines
  • ACME threaded bar in 1/2" & 3/4"
  • galvanized unistrut 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 x up to 14'
  • lots of carts

I live near 7th Ave & McDowell

I'm only about 10 miles from you, up at Metrocenter, so within range of my SB Cruiser trike. You're not too far away from where Apache Reclamation was. Ever been there? Long time back I used to love exploring it, though I couldn't have used 99% of the stuff they had there, it was fun to think about. :)

How fast are the linear actuators?

I'm trying to find cheap ways of doing some of the stuff my Snuggles wolfybot has to be able to do. I am not sure that LAs will be able to do much of it, but since everything is going to be cable-actuated with external motors (in a big "box" with all the main power, controls, computing, etc), fast enough ones could do some of the work. (servos and steppers will have to do most of it I think; I have a few of those for small things but I doubt they're powerful enough for the majority of the work if geared to work quickly enough for realistic response times...so any big steppers could also be useful).

The guide rails and acme rods I might also be able to use for the bot but all that end of stuff is still an "idea" and not defined enough to buy parts for.

If the drawer slides are the rackmount type, and are really cheap, I might be interested in a few for some heavy old server racks I'm salvaging to work as platforms for my audio/MIDI composing, 3D-rendering/CAD/Printing, and investigations into "AI" (as a learning-personality for the wolfybot).

I can imagine uses for unistrut, but at present I have salvaged square tubing from discarded retail fixtures to do most of that stuff, until I run out, eventually.

What kind of "carts"?

i discovered Apache the same month it closed down. sigh.

Most of the actuators are from furiture for old people, so they're slow but powerful. drawer slides are inended for furniture or super heavy duty tool boxes I think. Sorry about your dogs man. Your robot project is ambitious and impressive.
