Just got a 48v 20ah V Power from Cammy on Ebay. Charger was cracked and the BMS' white box had multiple loose screws. Be that as it may, I plugged it in and left it charging for about 8 hours. The BMS system utilizes two sets of white wires and each set plugs in to a separate terminal in the BMS housing. Two lights came on, marked LED 1 and LED 2. I noted the left LED had turned green as expected while the right LED 2 stayed red, even after another 4 or 5 hours on the charger. I wrote Cammy and they said the left LED is the only one that turns green. The red one stays on only to indicate the power is on. I was curious to see if that's the standard set up for these batteries, so any comments would be appreciated.
Also, if anyone's interested in hearing about the 48v 11.6 Ah "Dolphin" style batteries I ordered directly from China I'll be happy to post a rundown on the cost, testing etc. once I've had a chance to try them for a while. Thanks again to this group!

The LED's are correct

One is red indicating it's plugged to AC, the other is orange during charge and green when complete.

If balancing, you will notice the LED toggling green/orange as it brings all cells back up to the same.

I have not had any problems with my vpower pack, however I would strongly suggest you open the BMS box and secure the board (mine was loose in-box) and I would also recommend tearing down the pack to verify the connections and solder job (mine was sketchy at best...built like it was someone's first year electronics project)

I did very little work to it and have not had any battery problem for a few hundred cycles now.

Thanks R3 - that's very good to know. I'm no expert at tearing these down and think I'll reserve that for after I've run this one around for awhile. Now that I know I have a full charge, I can do some testing and see what I have here. Thanks for the quick reply!

That was my first battery and still running it
I ran it in a backpack for almost a year (before I ever did anything to it) and when I got the guts to tear down and cut in half (to mount on bike) I discovered the BMS was free floating and even to a noob, the cell construction was pretty quick and dirty.
I'm no soldering expert, but I did a better job than factory.
