Hello folks.

I have some Makita drills at work that use Ni-MH batteries. I have abused these two batteries for years and they still work great. Those batteries don't seem to require any kind of battery managment.

So, I would like to swap my broke LifePO4 36v 10ah for maybe a 48v 20ah Ni-MH arrangement of some type. I know Ni-MH tends to be heavier but thats ok.

Does any member here have any recommendations on Ni-MH packs ? I'm going to use my BMC 600 hub and maybe use the BMC controller that came with it unless someone can recommend a better controller. I want to abuse my hub. Maybe I'll get a Crystalyte later.

Thanks,

Great idea! I'll have to see about salvaging a 12V out of one of those half dead 8 AH packs for my solar panel powered accessory batt! :)
