Nissan Land Glider electric car

the look of it is too "futuristic" for my taste but i like the idea of the car being able to lean into the turns. that should give it better cornering abilities. other than the looks of it, it is pretty decent. nice find.

Citroen developed the ability to cause "negative roll" (leaning into the turn) with their active suspensions, but found the public liked the positive roll they were used to. People didn't even like "flat" neutral roll and so Citroen gave their customers just enough positive roll to make it seem familiar.

It looks like fun and economical; but it may have trouble qualifying for the US market, if it needs significant safety mods for import.

By contrast, the Venture One Carver has only three wheels and may qualify as a motorcycle.

the roll that a car has scares me, especially when i drove an SUV. i then had a lowered car with an aftermarket sport suspension, which eliminated a lot of the body roll and it made me feel a lot more cvomfortable. but im a guy that loves the white knuckle driving and carving through corners. so i guess what applies to me doesnt apply to everyone though. thats just my opinion.

This technology has been around a while and can be applied to regular old cars too increase cornering and braking performance!

That's amazing.

Those wheels tilt too like a bike when you lean into a corner.

Interesting, whats faster around corners, a super bike or an F1 car? It may not make much difference other than comfort.

Long drives wears you out trying to compensate for inertia shifts from centre of gravity. Still a good idea.

Oh man, bikes totally suck at cornering. If there's enough corners, an old Buick can run down a superbike.

1986? Citroen did it in 1955.

Well the '86 volvo test car LEANS INTO turns. Like a boat. LEANS INTO turns.. thats friggin awesome. The Citroen just stays flat.

Anyway in '86 was only old enough to read about cars not drive them.. so for sure I wouldn't have been reading anything in '55.. thanks for the find!

AJ, one of my buds has a cup holder on his motorcycle, one the holders with the counterweight thingy on it. So that could work here! :D
