No power/current display after Ultra 620 Canbus-UART conversion?

I'm working on a fat bike build/modification with a bike that came with the newer CANBUS Ultra 620 motor. I really need to be able to tweak/tune the motor settings, so I decided to convert my Ultra to UART.

Everything seems to work OK (although the pedal assist seems slow to engage, but I'm still in the process of experimenting with the tuning/settings on that) EXCEPT I can't get any power/current to display...either on my 500c display or my Eggrider/app like with my BBSHD.

Did I make a mistake somewhere in the install/conversion process, or is power/current just nI'm working on a fat bike build/modification using a bike that came with the newer CANBUS Ultra 620 motor. I really need to be able to tweak/tune the motor settings as I’ve done with BBSHD, so I decided to convert my Ultra to UART.

I just completed switching out the necessary components (controller, torque sensor, speed sensor, and wiring harness, all purchased new via Green Bike Kit), as well as greasing the motor to hopefully reduce the noise a bit.

Everything seems to work normally EXCEPT I can't get any power/current to display...either on my 500c display or my Eggrider/app like with my BBSHD.

I first followed up with someone at Green Bike Kit about this, who tested a 500c they had on hand with a 620. She described what I was seeing: a W(att) reading that intermittently showed up (e.g. while using the throttle) but then quickly disappeared. We had some difficulty communicating due to our language barrier, but she eventually said that no, I wouldn’t be able to get power/current data from the 620 (although she said I should be able to see that data when we started our conversation).

It seems a little hard to believe that power/current data wouldn’t be available; I assume that data is showing on the earlier UART-bsaed Ultra 620s (?)…shouldn’t I be getting the same thing after my conversion?

But if I made some kind of mistake in my conversion, damaged something, etc., I’d think I’d be seeing more issues than just not getting the power/current reading on a display.

‘Any thoughts appreciated!
