Those rear shocks look suspiciously like saddle supports from Poncherello's CHiPs motorcycle..

I saw this contraption at the recent EV gathering in Sydney. I actually saw it in action around the car park and that thing really goes quite well. I was suprised because it looks kinda... ummm... junkyard dog. It sat there with the high-tech cars and the home builts and was a worthy addition in a 'Mad Max 2' kind of way.
