Hi Everyone,

I have for sale a unicorn here... An Original Nucular 24F Controller and Display. This unit was made in Russia by Vasiliy, before they moved their operations to China. Anyone who is looking at this post/item (and knows exactly what they're looking at) knows what this is. It has the IP67 internal thermal cooling compound, so all components stay in place, don't vibrate during use, stay cool in hot/demanding conditions and can literally function under water. Vasiliy/Nucular had a video on YouTube showing the waterproof effects of the thermal compound. The controller is sitting in a bucket of water and running a motor on the bench. Pretty impressive. Unfortunately that means the internal jst-phd ports are not accessible. Fortunately, this particular controller was hand made with all the bells and whistles, including the torque sensor output, PAS and so on, as you'll see in the pictures and associated pin out diagram. I've been out of the ebike and escooter world for a few years now, so I'm not up to date on what type of units Nucular is now producing from China or what they're selling for.

This unit can be updated to the latest firmware which allows for a multitude of uses, including encoding, sensor less and hall sensor motors. All wires/leads are perfectly in tact (1 display wire has been modified/spliced but easily fixable back to it's original state) and I've also attached pictures of the wiring pin out diagram to show which wires/outputs are included/attached. Please ignore my hand drawings, those were specific for my escooter application using Higo connectors (highly recommended). I have tons of spares, if you'd like any "pin count" Higo connector(s), I'd be happy to throw in a few pairs with the purchase. Just let me know what you're looking for.

I'm running 2x Nucular 12F controllers on my custom Vsett escooter and these things are absolutely bulletproof, especially with the internal thermal protection. Been running mine for 2+ years and they are amazing. Any issues down the road, send back to Nucular for free repair, shipping is on you however. They're amazing to work with and customer support on telegram is second to none. Vasiliy personally walked me through some setup options for the uLight on my scooter. You can find my Custom Vsett 10+ build on this forum using dual Nucular 12F controllers.

I also have a brand new uLight unit if anyone is interested. If so, let me know and we can chat about it.

Again, I'm not up to date on Nucular's current state, what type of units they're providing or selling for. What I do know is the "older" Russian made units (this one) were individually handmade with TLC by Vasiliy himself. These units are known for their outstanding performance, user friendly display, setup, endless application options and robustness. These controllers were custom made to order based on buyer preferences, not mass produced.
I know what I paid for this unit and I bought from a gentleman in Australia (on this forum ) and you can probably find the listing if you look back far enough on the sale forum here on endless sphere. My asking price is based off of that, not necessarily what their new units are currently selling for. We are also not comparing apples to apples at that point. Again, if you know what this unit is, you'll know it's a unicorn and not many people are giving theirs up. I've moved on to different hobbies, so unfortunately for me I really have no use for this. I'll probably regret parting with it at some point in the future but I'd rather it go to someone who will put it to good use here and now. This is a rare find my friends. With that being said, when I bought the this controller... I received it, hooked it up to my scooter to make sure everything is in working condition and I put it back in the box for a future project that never came to fruition. I have never personally "used" this controller, set it up or updated the firmware. I can guarantee it works just as good as the day it was made.

Unit is in perfect working order and again, as shown in the pictures, one of the display wires have been modified slightly (by the previous owner). Nothing that can't be undone with a touch of solder. If you don't know what this controller truly is or how to use it, I implore you NOT to purchase it. This is a big boy controller for those who are well versed in the workings of ebike and escooter controllers.
I will provide everything shown in the photos, including the controller, display and original paperwork with wiring and pin out diagrams. In depth User manual can be found on GitHub or Nucular's site.
Any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message. I'll answer any questions to the best of my ability.

Thank you for looking and don't let this controller pass you up. I have a feeling you will likely not find another anytime soon. I also have an original Russian made Nucular 6F controller with display (see my other listings). Could potentially be paired together with the 24F for a dual motor monster setup, similar to my dual 12F escooter setup. If you're looking to buy both, shoot me a message and we can work something out.

Shipping is included in the asking price to the lower 48 of the USA. Any international buyers, we can absolutely arrange something regarding shipping costs.

I'm not looking to profit off of this unit, simply recover at least of 80% of what I paid for it. I know some try to exploit the rareness of these controllers and ask ludacris amounts for them.
Not my aim or goal. If Nucular new units from China are selling for hundreds less than I'm asking for the original Russian version, there may be a reason for that. I'm simply not up to date with the ebike/scooter world as I mentioned, so please spare any negative or rebutting comments.
2 of the pictures (the 2 photos taken outdoors) were from the person I bought it from, from his original for sale listing. Just an FYI and to show the history of the controller itself. It was purchased new by him and used for a short period of time before he sold it to me.

Price is $650 shipped to lower 48. PayPal Goods and Services ONLY. 24F Controller with display.
I also have this listed on eBay but would much rather sell it here, to the community that helped me learn and understand this awesome hobby.

Thank You for your interest!

Adam

After doing a little bit of research, it seems the older versions are simply just that. Not really considered a rare find as they were a few years ago. For those of us that hunted these units down and actually found them (it took me over a year to find the ones I have), generally ended up paying a premium for a somewhat "rare and limited product". A "lucky find tax" if you will. If you were lucky enough to have been on the wait list and got one new direct from Nucular of Russia, you were the lucky ones lol. I think I'm still on the old waiting list from about 4 years ago for 2x 12F's haha.
Since they've ramped up production in their newly located facility and updated controller lineup, it seems these handmade original versions are no longer such a hot commodity.
I'm quickly realizing I'm going to take a loss on my 24F and 6F if I sell them, even though I never used either of them. Almost worth just holding onto at this point. I won't give them away but I'm also a very reasonable and logical person. If anyone is interested in the 24F or 6F, both with displays and 1 uLight available, please shoot me a message and we can discuss cost/shipping. I will entertain reasonable offers but at some point, they'll just be be worth holding onto. Very fancy paperweights for the time being.
It is unfortunate because I know these older versions were built with the utmost care, one by one. These original controllers are so robust and over engineered, they will definitely outlast your lithium cells on any given application LoL.
Any interest, let me know your thoughts and we can discuss. Just trying to be reasonable for all parties involved.
Even though it sucks for me, I'm really glad to hear the Nuc boys have found their footing in China. I was nervous for them, so much in fact that I used to be a monthly contributing member to their donation page.
Time and technology change, so it looks like these original versions are now considered antiques. Maybe I should have them appraised at the antique road show 🤣🤣

Thanks again and please reach out with any interest at all.
