old battery, new tricks

I just added 5 new Batteryspace 10ah NiMh cells to my old 30 cell pack. It, like me was aging! Wow, what a diff! The Astro charger does fine (4 amp charge rate) and I C/10 charged them after to "balance" the pack! The new cells show 3.5 mohms as resistance (impedience?). I think this is much better than the old cells. Time will tell. At least I can keep up with my wife and her 36 volt Ping!

How old is it? How many miles or cycles do you have on it?

At least 2.5 years (back when BS 36 volt 10 ah packs were $200) and 400+ cycles. I seem to remember Bob Mcree was playing with those batts and they were 8mohms then.

Is this the high amp cell, or the standard cell that you purchased originally? I see they don't have the high amp cell in 10ah anymore. It use to have a green sleeve on it but they changed it now to a brown sleeve with lower ah.

No! Their "high amp cell was 8.5ah, and I figured I better match the cells as much as possible. These are the 10 ah cells, with tabs (.25 extra per cell). I was surprised that these may be better cells than the original ones.
