Hi guys, I have a cromotor in one of my bikes and from new it had a problem which seemed like a wheel bearing issue on cable in side.. after checking I could see a almost half of the shaft missing for the cable route. I spoke to cro and they said basically just ride it..

I did put loctite 638 in there which worked for a while, the motor is over 4 years old know & still goes well but wobbles way to much for my liking.. so it's a tear down this weekend.

So questions are how many you guys had this issue & how did you solve it?

Anybody got a new axle from them or am I just going to be faced with the same thing, I had a cro 2 and that had more of a slot cut out for the cable rather than this halfish axle affair.

Thanks guys

Having lots of room for the wires is a good thing (up to a point). As long as the shaft OD is correct, the bearing should be tight. Is the excessive clearance between the axle and bearing or is the bearing just worn out? You may just need to replace the bearing. If there is excessive clearance between the axle and the bearing, that might be harder to fix.
