I was posting on another forum where some 'trolls' were asking 'questions', the answers to which they weren't in the least interested. We've all seen the type that believes that "real cyclists don't assist", or "you gotta be disabled to ride assist". We realize that when an individual throws out a post like that, all they are trying to do is inflate their ego, in effect saying, "I'm better than you because I don't 'need' assist". Then, I remembered pictures of a creation called the "Boneshaker", much like a wooden hobbyhorse with wheels that a man would 'mount' and move by pushing off with his feet. Thanks to Wikipedia, I found a picture of such a creation, called a "Draisine" or "Laufsmaschine" ('running machine'? - I'm sure it has nothing to do with laughing), which is attached below.
So, to the 'trolls' of the assist and cycling forums of the world I say, " You can't be a real cyclist, man, (women didn't ride such things) unless you ride a "Laufsmaschine"! Do you suppose there is a line forming anywhere with 'trolls' lining up to trade in their bikes for a "REAL" bike, a "Laufsmachine"? Anyone, anywhere? Maybe behind the outhouse? Maybe IN the outhouse?
