Looking to upgrade the stock brushed 48v 1400w (3300 rpm) motor of the Oset 24 trial bike.
The stock motor overheats, and can't hold its paces on hill climbs.

The rider is 14 years old, and the bike weighs 54 kg. Not looking for added performance, just added reliability of a brushless system.

It's a mid motor setup with very limited space. Almost impossible to find a small enough bl motor without adjusting the frame.

How about a 80100 80kv brushless to go in there?

Weighs half as much as the stock brushed motor, and can fit perfectly.

I will be using a VESC controller that plays nicely with outrunners, and the stock 48v 27.5 amp battery (peaks up to 80 amps).

Any thoughts?

Hi, did you go ahead with brushless motor and if so, was it successful?
